The Middle East Rally marked a landmark moment for Gumball 3000, bringing the rally to the region for the first time. The start flag was waved at Burj Park in Dubai, set against the iconic backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. The route then crossed into Oman for an exclusive evening in the Omani mountains at Jebel Akhdar, before continuing through Salalah and Muscat, including a full takeover of the Royal Opera House.

The rally returned to the UAE with a stop in Ras Al Khaimah, before crossing the finish line in Abu Dhabi alongside the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, concluding the 2022 Formula 1 season in spectacular fashion.
